LTA Research announces new CEO
October 29, 2024
LTA Research is pleased to announce the appointment of Brett Crozier as its new chief executive officer. Brett is a retired U.S. Navy Captain, and his distinguished 30-year military career includes significant leadership roles in aviation and operations. He also brings executive experience from the private sector having served as chief operating officer of a major veterans nonprofit and a senior executive at a financial software firm.
More than 10 years ago, Alan Weston founded LTA Research and guided the development and production of modern airships. He is stepping away from day-to-day operations and will continue in an advisory capacity that is focused on strategy and science. We are deeply grateful to Al for his passion and vision, which has been critical to LTA’s work to design, build, test, and fly the largest and most innovative electric airship in nearly 100 years.
At present, LTA is flight testing its first full-size airship, Pathfinder 1, and recently achieved the milestone of outdoor untethered flight – an important step toward realizing our mission for building the next generation of electric airships that can help to reduce aviation emissions and enhance humanitarian assistance.
